Georgia Baxter
Georgia Baxter joined the Royal New Zealand Ballet in August 2019 as an apprentice and was promoted to Artist at the end of the 2020 season. Some highlight roles for Georgia so far have been performing as Stepsister Nicolette in Loughlan Prior’s Cinderella (2022) and Moth in Liam Scarlett’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream (2021 & 2024).
Throughout her career with the RNZB, some of Georgia’s favourite performances include Sarah Foster-Sproull’s Ultra Folly and The Autumn Ball, Twyla Tharp’s Waterbaby Bagatelles™, Alice Topp’s Aurum, and her roles in Swan Lake. She has also enjoyed performing in various corps de ballet roles, such as in Paquita, Giselle, and The Firebird.
Born in Australia, Georgia grew up in Caloundra, Queensland, where she trained at En Pointe Dance Centre from the age of eleven, after starting dance lessons at the age of four. At fourteen, she was accepted into Houston Ballet Academy’s Professional Training Division programme, where she trained for three years. While at HBA, Georgia represented the Academy in the inaugural Prix de Lausanne Partner Schools Choreographic Project, as well as performing with Houston Ballet in Stanton Welch’s The Nutcracker, Ben Stevenson’s Coppélia, and Stanton Welch’s Swan Lake.
In 2025, Georgia joined the Education team at the Royal New Zealand Ballet, excited to share her passion for dance with people of all ages across Aotearoa.
